LAN : SYD - AKL in J

I am still a little confused with the new simplified situation. My question is if I fly the above return flight with LAN will I still receive full status credits , not overly concerned about points. Thanks CM :mrgreen:

You will receive less SC's compared to if you fly with QF.

I believe you will only receive 40 for that trip on LA

Points calculator on the QF website says 40 SC each way.

If you book on the QF website with QF flight number you will earn 80 SCs (even if flight is operated by LAN). Otherwise with a LA flight number you will earn 40 SCs (and most likely pay less too).

I'm rather annoyed about this - it would have been a good status run to help me retain gold next year...

Except LAN is far too unreliable. Those flights between SCL and SYD via AKL are often delayed and sometimes cancelled!

They often put you on the QF or NZ service at similar times, so any inconvenience is minimal

Why is that? I have suffered a 24 hr stopover due to delay with LAN heading SYD-AKL-SCL. But despite a hell of a lot of LAN flights within the Americas, have never had more than the occasional one hour delay.
