LAN Question

Checking my bookings on the QF site it now lists two flights as below. My actual flight is the LAN flight - the second one is a total mystery. Can anyone shed some light?

Booking 1
Tue 28 Dec 10 05:50 Auckland 07:30 Sydney LA801
Booking 2
Tue 28 Dec 10 07:00 Auckland 08:30 Sydney NZ101

Update - Air NZ confirm over the phone this booking exists - and its a "disrupt" booking
Update 2 - LAN now confirm flight is cancelled - looking forward to trying Air NZ business product.

Perhaps a pro-active waitlisting in case LA801 is delayed?

From experience I would expect you will be on NZ101.

I have had this a couple of times though my change was only 25 min to QF25.

I wonder why not a QF flight and how hard it will now be to get points, SC's etc.

Just be thankful they did not rebook you onto the Aerolinas Argentinas flight, or even worse - DeathStar.

Once the trip is completed just ring Qantas and ask for an original routing credit.

It should not be an issue.

This happend to me as well in November, except in the reverse direction - SYD to AKL.

The LA801 AKL-SYD leg was cancelled, hence the return flight was cancelled as well.

They put me on NZ704 as LA800 was delayed departure from AKL by a couple of hours.
