Hi all, I've got a conference in NZ in Sept so am keen to reduce my taxable income () and have just booked a return flight with QF's current F sale (on EK metal for $797 via helloworld.com.au) but I need to get to AKL first. I'm keen to try LAN's 787 J (since QF's trans-tasman J is a bit cough) and they're currently selling one-way tickets for $650 (J flex I think).
My questions are, is that a good price or should I wait for a sale? I'm sure I've seen cheaper prices than that.

Many thanks

I recall seeing LA J SYD-AKL return for about $750. But that was before they put a 787 onto the route... not sure if things have changed since then.

Yeah there's return J seats for $7-800 but the return flight leaves AKL at 0600 so you'll just have a shortened night before and arrive in Sydney feeling terrible. :)

OK so $650ish is a good price for one-way then.
