Hey Gang,
Am looking at getting one of the mini-Colsters back from KTM in April, but can't even select it as a departure point. Considering CX, QR & ML all fly out of there, is this a "me" issue or a QFF issue?
Also, any tips on seeing any OW awards availabilty? Date would be 11/APR +1 or 2 days.

Thanks in Advance!

KTM not showing as departure point is likely a QF site issue.

Try the BA site. There’s no guarantee that what BA shows will be available to book via QF but will give an indication.

Perhaps your bigger issue is you’re trying to secure award seats in school holidays less than three months out.

I expect that to be very challenging given the current high demand, low availability environment.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

There's a limitation on the Qantas website that doesn't show departure points in countries that it can't charge you the local currency for.

A workaround to search for flight availability is to use the multi city tool. Do a search like
Leg 1: SYD-MEL 1 April
Leg 2: KTM-x 11 April

If you find the availability for leg 2, you'd then have to call up in order to book it as you won't be able to book it online (as you don't want leg 1).
