Good afternoon all,

My parents have enough points to redeem to two tickets for us to go from Australia to Singapore - our family being two adults and two children.

How then would you go about purchasing tickets 3 and 4 in cash?

I'm assuming you can't buy 2 child tickets on their own as they would be un-accompanied minors (2 years and 4 years)

Would it be redeeming two adult tickets on points, and then calling Singapore Airlines with the booking reference and adding two paid children tickets to the same booking reference?

Thanks for any suggestions

Ollie

Get the redemption tickets first. You can then purchase for the kids and system will prompt you to fill out a form for unaccompanied minors. No need to fill in the form. You can then call to get the system to link all your tickets or just explain to them in airport that kids are accompanied.

If you can, depending on your nominee situation, redeem 1 adult + 1 child. Then purchase 1 adult + 1 child. Saves the hassle of having to explain the unaccompanied minor form not being filled out etc.

I'm sure you can call up to purchase tickets for the children and link it to your booking. It's been a couple years but IIRC, I redeemed 2 adults, then had to call up to purchase an infant ticket and got that linked to the booking and they resent the new booking details with infant attached.
