Hello Frequent Flyers,
I currently have Platinum status with Velocity but need another 100 or so points to maintain by April. I have also just attained Kris Flyer Gold status.
My question is, should I let the Velocity Platinum status lapse to Gold, or should I still maintain it? Are there benefits in having status in both programs? I do travel a fair amount domestically and also internationally, but it is becoming more inconsistent.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Solution
Where do you travel internationally usually, is it all exclusively with Singapore Airlines or do you use other carriers, such as those partnered with VA Velocity? What sort of fares do you book domestically?

Edit: Based on below, I'd focus more on SQ Gold and VA Gold.

Solution
I usually travel to Africa, previously with SAA but now the company says we must use SQ. Domestically I travel economy but sometimes take advantage of free upgrades that come with Velocity Platinum. In the future I intend to fly with SQ (and Star Alliance) for personal travel.
