I've been trying to organise an award flight from Sydney to Nadi with my KrisFlyer points - with very little success.

KrisFlyer cannot seem to confirm anything and say to check with AirNZ for availability. AirNZ say availability depends on KrisFlyer and they cannot really help.

Is there anything I can do to try and find out if flights arae available? I'm planning for travel in 6 months so have a heap of flexibility on dates - but I need to know when seats are available as calling KrisFlyer is becoming more trouble than it is worth!

Solutions / guidance greatly appreciated.

Feedback from anyone with similar experiences positive or negative also appreciated.

You can only book through Kris Flyer. NZ is of no help to you.

If you haven't already I'd suggest joining either AC (Air Canada) Aeroplan or NH (ANA) Member Club (free to join) and using their online award tool lookup (no need to actually have the miles for an award). That will give options to suggest to Kris Flyer when you ring them up.

Note some flights to NAN are on one-class 737 so if you are trying for a business award avoid these. The online tools identify what classes are available for awards, what classes are unavailable (but exist on the flight) and what classes do not exist on the flight.
