Hi,
I have a award trip to coughet with a transit in Singapore.
I would like to change this to Bangkok (with a transit in Singapore) but there are no more award seats on the Australia-Singapore sector.
Is it feasible (or risky!) to ask them to keep the first sector & change the Singapore-coughet to Singapore to Bangkok?

I presume this is a re-ticket & hence is essentially a cancellation & rebooking & the Australia-Singapore award seats may not return to the pool for the rebooking?

Of course I'm also worried that the call centre might muck it up & I'd lose the award booking entirely.
If there is even the slightest risk I'd just leave it.
I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

KrisFlyer call centre isn’t like Qantas … it won’t muck it up.

If there’s availability, give it a go. Just be very clear you want to keep the first sector.

I have had both success and rejection when changing origin and destination. Usually the reason is the new sector is not available to existing bookings.
