There was a QR code to scan to enter a competition, in addition to the claw machine. You had to do that to get the code.My friend who won the luggage tag said they didn't get one

Probably pleather rather than leather ...Leather pouch
I'm in a city that doesn't even use Kris+ that weekend ... Or, Brisbane.
My friend also won a prize:

$40 voucher at Tenkomori Ramen House was not made for solo diners like myself. Even with adding a drink to my ramen, it came to less than $18. I doubt it's a multiple use voucher either, like a gift card.View attachment 507652
The 50% off Kris+ voucher deals are also a steal imo
Was Cafe Y Asian cuisine or no? I found that Asian places readily accepted Kris+, whereas western places sometimes needed training from management on how to use it or didn't know about it (looking at you, Terrace on the Domain)Disappointing experience today.
Wanted to try a new place for brunch and coffee, as you all know in Australia we are spoiled for choice. I was deciding between Cafe Y or Z.
Y had Kris+. Z did not have Kris+ however it looked like a slightly nicer place.
Decided on Cafe Y in the end since we have the 12MPD promo on, place looks good, first red flag was the Kris+ barcode was nowhere to be seen at the counter.
I place my order, ask to pay with Kris+. The counter staff goes “oh what’s that? OHH that. Yeah I’m sorry I kinda forgot how to use that, do you mind paying with card?” I tell her I just need the QR code to scan then I can pay. She goes “oh yeah I’m sorry I misplaced it”. Her tone could not have been more blunt à la I don’t care just pay.
I just paid by regular card and was done with it. And it’s a pity because the coffee was actually really good but based on this I don’t think I’ll be coming back (what did I say about the privilege we have of being spoiled for choice for coffee here?).
If as a business owner you can’t be coughd using Kris+ after signing up for it then deregister yourselves from the app. Shouldn’t lure people in thinking they can pay with it and then “ohhh yeah nah sorry”
Done! And with that here’s hoping it doesn’t happen again to someone elseYou should complain to Kris+, they’d probably want to know about this business as damages their brand, and hopefully would credit the points.
Nope not Asian cuisine, was a Western style bakery cafe. Now that you’ve mentioned it indeed not one single Asian Kris+ place I’ve been to has been any trouble with Kris+. Only other lapse I’ve had in my experience was minor one, it was a coughtail place, asked to pay with Kris+, staff member also didn’t know but asked manager who did know and brought the QR code from out the back and was no further dramas. Was Cafe Y Asian cuisine or no?
