Disappointing experience today.

Wanted to try a new place for brunch and coffee, as you all know in Australia we are spoiled for choice. I was deciding between Cafe Y or Z.

Y had Kris+. Z did not have Kris+ however it looked like a slightly nicer place.

Decided on Cafe Y in the end since we have the 12MPD promo on, place looks good, first red flag was the Kris+ barcode was nowhere to be seen at the counter.

I place my order, ask to pay with Kris+. The counter staff goes “oh what’s that? OHH that. Yeah I’m sorry I kinda forgot how to use that, do you mind paying with card?” I tell her I just need the QR code to scan then I can pay. She goes “oh yeah I’m sorry I misplaced it”. Her tone could not have been more blunt à la I don’t care just pay.

I just paid by regular card and was done with it. And it’s a pity because the coffee was actually really good but based on this I don’t think I’ll be coming back (what did I say about the privilege we have of being spoiled for choice for coffee here?).

If as a business owner you can’t be coughd using Kris+ after signing up for it then deregister yourselves from the app. Shouldn’t lure people in thinking they can pay with it and then “ohhh yeah nah sorry”

You should complain to Kris+, they’d probably want to know about this business as damages their brand, and hopefully would credit the points.
