This is indeed one of the best ways to earn KF miles in Australia, considering the continued lack of a direct KrisFlyer Credit Card here.

Also worth a reminder that each dollar you spend at Kris+ at restaurants or retail (in Australia too!) = 1 Elite Mile for attaining or retaining your KrisFlyer Elite Status, up to a max of $10k a year for Golds. These Elite Miles earned from Kris+ also count towards the KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards too as a heads up.

They also sell JB Hifi Gift Cards on Kris+ too last time I checked so for example if you needed a new iPhone or MacBook and says it’s $2k depending on the config and you buy it in Kris+ JB Gift Cards, that’s 2000 Elite Miles in one go.

Yeah I've been buying $50 JB Hi-Fi gift cards to splurge on vinyl. In between American Express Delicious Month Out and boosted Kris+ miles for dining partners, May's a great month for eating out!

SQ228 is day flight, SQ227 night; also the fare for these 2 flights are a bit sucks, I just tried some random dates (so random I can't remember what I pressed), but they are often not the cheapest Y seats for the day, there are other flights which are even cheaper, so it feels like they are giving this $380 voucher for you to take seats from expensive buckets. Feels a bit like "Down Down, Prices are Down"

Thanks for reporting back (as a salty Sydneysider who can't go)! My friend had a similar experience as well; went during lunch, waited about half an hour, and won a SQ branded luggage tag.

Guess it beats winning a coffee from Brunetti Oro ...

I waited about 30 minutes and won the toiletry bag. Very low quality and I think I would prefer the coffee ️
