Hi I need to get to Koh Samui in early January from northern NSW so can get to Gold Coast, Brisbane or Sydney airports. Any suggestions on best and most inexpensive way and yes unfortunatley it is the peak season
 Hol

Air Asia out of Coolangatta and via KL will probably be the cheapest.
For instance at the moment the outbound flight OOL - KL is $73 + $56 Tax.
Inbound early Feb is $303 plus tax.

VAustralia will possibly have some cheap flights to coughet as their service is coming to an end around then.

Expensive bit will be getting from KL to Koh Samui. One of the pricier destinations to get to within Asia, usually cheapest to get to from BKK, therefore lends itself to a throughfare on Thai.

Last time I looked V Australia allowed you to book connecting flights on Bangkok Airways to Koh Samui via their website, not sure with the imminent cessation of services to coughet if that can still be done.
