Yeah, dodge the upturned burning cars in my street and the riots down the road... ;-)
Indeed... one must protect themselves from the roving bands of Westies in your street Gordon

Locking my door is one of my "pre-takeoff" checklist... Some modern cars now have the ability to automatically unlock doors in the event of a serious collision.

Our car auto locks once you drive off.

Be aware that some attacks happen before you start driving off. In which case, your doors would not have locked yet.
The best bit in the article is that the attacker was wearing a high vis vest!! Maybe we will see him in the Perth J lounge soon??![]()
And if all else fails in the event of rescue required, we just pop the glass from a window to get in.
For some reason when ever I go to Sydney it always seems the next day the area that I was in had a shooting... Makes me wonder how long before their is a citywide riot in Sydney like they had in London recently?
What can we do. It would appear that our society has given up on trying to put a stop to corruption. The attitude appears to be that it is OK for one or 2 innocent bystanders to suffer as a consequence.I'm a little shocked that everyone is so flippant about this - imagine yourself in the situation of the person who was car-jacked - and ask is security/safety so bad in Australia's largest city that this can happen, especially in an area supposedly so heavily policed. Add that to the bikie shooting at SYD and the ongoing issues in various parts of SYD and now Gold Coast / Brisbane.....
