Just when you thought you had seen it all in the Qantas lounge...

Ok, I should have written "most people" :)

I guess then they can take offf their "F u RichardMEL" shirt and go topless... 🤣

But it's ok for men to go topless ? Anyway what were you imagining about under these garments, very naughty of you.
Of course it's not OK for men to go about topless. There's a time and place for that. Home, swimming pool and the beach. That's about it. Full stop.

LOL. It's not what I'm imagining. Breasts hanging all over the place for people to see. Short skirt with tiny g-string and the skirt lifting up as they're walking showing bare creeks.

If this is acceptable and parents are condoning it then it's OK for a 60 year old to look right without having to turn away. Or is that 60 year old a pervert? If you're going to make things acceptable in public then the stereo types need to go as well.

I'm entitled to an opinion. I'm also entitled to express that opinion regardless of what others think. Remember just because 99% think something is right does not make it right. And luckily I visit lounges (SIN/BKK) that do not condone this lack of dress sense.

With respect though that you have this very detailed image means probably you'd been looking in the first place :) now sure, I don't personally think that's a great look myself on any body - and have encountered mainly due to walking behind someone on the street and well, looking ahead as one does to be aware, had copped an eyefull with an unexpected gust of wind - but I'm not going out of my way to oggle women (or men for that matter) while out and about.

In a lounge though or indoors, I'm not looking specifically at clothing or whatever on others and if someone's wearing a G or bra top ir mankini... well that's their business. If I don't like it then hey I just don't have to look do I? Though I probably might keep an eye on someone in a mankini just because 🤣

I am reminded of a hotel in downtown LA I stayed at about 10 years ago. Was at brekky and a family walked in all wearing full length animal onesies. Kids, teens, parents. It was.. unusual. Would I do it? Hell no.. but gee they were polite, did not abuse the buffet and did their thing.. so hey.. no harm to me....

Inversely, if you say it's not acceptable in public, but you are still looking while saying it's not acceptable in public, doesn't that make you a pervert? You condemn yourself here.

Yes you are definitely entitled to an opinion and to express that opinion. What you're experiencing right now after putting up your opinion is that others are telling you that your opinion is wrong. It's called discussion and debate, and in good faith you can explain why you think your opinion is correct.

So rather than continuing to play the victim (people are trying to stop me having an opinion, this is about my age / gender), why don't you explain why you believe you should be the moral arbiter for everyone else?

An opinion is an opinion (both his and yours). It is neither right or wrong.
Apologies - I should have written that they think his opinion is wrong. An error on my part.

Continuing to yell your opinion here, does not make yours right or his wrong.

Unsure if this was directed at me in particular but I have been nothing but calm and logical with my points.

There's that old saying about opinions being like aholes.. everyone has one. It is my opinion that nobody has suggested having an opinion is wrong or not ok.

It's the way those opinions are expressed that sometimes can be. (Not implying I think any poster here falls into that category)

It's my opinion that this thread has been done and dusted.
Let's move on

What is it about this thread that people want to impose their opinion on everyone else? This post being a case in point: I’m no longer entertained by the thread so everyone should stop posting.

Yes

There's another old saying about flogging a dead horse.

There are some opinions here that continue to be rehased again and again, and opposing views won't change (nor should they) so it does feel a bit like going around in circles tbh

But so be it (until a mod has seen it all and has had enough :D ).

I think you're mistaken. I'm neither the victim nor the moral arbiter.

I've expressed an opinion and all that I see is people attacking that opinion as outdated, irrelevant and any other reason under the sun. Why? Just let me have an opinion and post it here without judgement. I'm conservative, have always been conservative and now that I have a 7 year old daughter I am even more conservative. My wife is conservative. Everyone around me is conservative.

By the way this thread is about seeing unusual things in a lounge. There is no judge to say some things are unusual and some things aren't unusual. Everyone sees things differently.
