Anyone else getting the following error when booking a JQ flight (with bundle) and adding QFF number?

[ValidationFailed] The QFF number, you have entered belongs to others. Please input valid QFF no

No, that's a strange one. It might be worth clearing your cookies for the JQ site, closing your browser and re-trying.

I have tried that.

That message seems to indicate the name/number on the booking does not match the name/number on the QF account. But I have definitely checked that (i'm using my saved profile and have made dozens of bookings).

This has only occurred after the QF website "upgrade" (aka ASAgate). Has QF upgraded their FF systems too?

I strongly suspect you could be onto something there, if you have a profile established that has always worked before then that raises strong suspicions of "the work experience kid" at it again....

Although it is strange that problems with QFF numbers and names should manifest themselves in the JQ site and not the QF site.

Just seen another thread where it looks like the manage my booking on the EK website with the QF PNR is also playing up for someone so may or may not be an emerging wider problem with QF IT systems.

Good luck getting anyone from QF/JQ to take responsibility for this one...... but seeing as its JQ's potential revenue being lost it may not hurt to fire off a quick email or copy & paste your problem into their "Contact Us" form. Will be interested to see if its fixed and when.

Just spoke to an Australian-based Jetstar contact centre team member. It appears as they are having problems with the frequent flyer database.

I suspect it's a problem on the QF side, considering you mentioned other AFFers are experience problems with EK website etc.

Workaround for now is to make booking without QFF number and call the contact centre and get them to add it manually.

I had this problem on Monday when trying to finalise the booking when logged into "My Jetstar".

I eneded up completing the booking without logging in and the problem went away (points have posted to my QFF account).

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Sounds a bit like some other airlines solution to their web site problems  - send more work to the call centre staff instead of fixing the problem....

Yes I was told that as well but I was keen to have it in my profile so that I can keep track of my flights (I have about 20+ bookings with QF and JQ combined).

Actually - I've managed to complete the booking while still logged into My Jetstar, by un-checking "I am flying" radio button and then re-entering my details as a though I was a new passenger.

Thank you to everyone who has helped.

Hmm, never knew there was validation before.. Maybe they're planning on giving status recognition on JQ in the future? :O

I wish my JQ points would post soon. Still waiting on some flights that were taken in May and have already submitted my QFF claim form.

Yes sounds like they brought in some consultants to streamline their processes ;-)

I think the validation is just a name and number check. It prevents people from applying their QFF number for flights taken by other people.

But yes would be nice for JQ to recognise status given they participate in the QFF loyalty program. Personally I'm still reeling they got rid of priority boarding for bundle fares.

I had this problem yesterday and they allowed be to book via the call centre for the Web cost but the call took forever and was very painful.

Hi all
Recently I booked 3 3k flights....1 alone and 2 with my gf. When logging into JQ I could not add QFF number but done not logging in was no problems I could add both our QFF numbers. I just completed all flights and interestingly both our QFF appeared on all the boarding passes...where previously it appeared randomly.

Just waiting to see if the points credit or more points requests....but that's the other thread
