Hi all, question regarding booking an airfare with JQ.

I have upcoming planned travel with my 3 year old. Is it possible to (possibly call them) and book us 2 in different fare classes? Ie the adult flying with Max bundle, whilst the child flies in the basic bundle.

We don't need bags for each of us and I understand I'd need to pay 1 set of seat choice fees in order to sit together. This effectively allows me to earn QFF SCs in the higher fare class whilst the child is booked into the cheaper class as SCs are of no use to them and is a waste.

I can not do this online, but does anyone have experience in successfully doing this in the past?

You can sign up a QF flyer at 2 years old I think, why not get them started now and they can reap the reward later?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I don't think this can be done online. Have you tried calling Jetstar?

I don't believe it's possible as the max bundle books into a different class to the starter fare.
