JOURNALIST LOOKING FOR FF EXAMPLES

I saw the article. It was a short article with no dramatics.

You must have missed the povo scum cutting up her FLYBUYS card, chanting 'No More Flybuys', and then explaining how she would prefer no rewards & no interest.

I wonder what interest rate she paid on purchases made with her FLYBUYS card?

Usual ACA drivel. Shonky Lebanese builders promoting credit card rewards that spread kitchen germs and kill our fat kids.

The thread title is the real laugh. Sorry Simon, the terms 'journalist' and 'aca' just don't compute.

Interestingly, I was interviewed by the local Perth ACA journalist supposedly for this show - but it looks like they didn't bother with adding any of it in (I missed seeing the show last night).

Oh well, their loss...

Doubt it - I've been on ACA before without breaking their camera, and Lindsay's much more of a pretty-boy than I am. :D

Forget Brokeback Mountain we have our own AFF version starring Alan and Lindsay. Do they have many sheep in Canberra?

There's a big difference between being gay and taking the piss! (Not that there's anything wrong with either!)

Back on topic - I also recall finding the ACA people very pleasant to deal with. I wanted to dislike them (one in particular) but they were all really nice.

Alan/Lindsay No offence intended, I just happen to be in Wyoming at present, and its funny that no one here has seen it but they all hate it.

I watched Brokeback Mountain on QF recently, and wished I hadn't. Aside from it being difficult to understand Heath Ledger who mumbled almost the entire way through, the story was just so dark and depressing. :(

I'm kind of glad it's not high on my viewing list :!:

On the return flight on this trip I watched Syrianna (with Matt Damon and George Clooney). I wished I hadn't watched that movie either - totally different subject matter but equally as dark and depressing.

Thank God I found Little Britain after that. Cheered me right up! :D

Why would anyone lift a finger to assist with the production of such any utterly detestable piece of trash as ACA???

Gulf War Movie Hero George Clooney:

"The war in Iraq is illegal and wrong, but if I was in charge I would have won it faster than Bush."

I just don't get 'Little Britain'. I've tried, but I rate it right down with Alan Partridge and intestinal flu.

It's one of those shows that requires a few viewings before you get into the rhythm of it. Once you do, it's side splitting. :D

You should give 'The League of Gentlemen' a watch ... Are you Local?

None taken of course.

With a young family the only time I get to watch recent movies is on a plane! If I run out of options I will watch Brokeback Mountain, but I find that in the air I prefer something light and preferably funny. Probably a combination of being fatigued, away from family, and in Economy.

Platy, twofold reasoning - I know one of the ACA journalists in BNE and I was trying to help out AFF (and Clifford) by getting the AFF website into the storyline.

It seems that the latter worked (as Clifford got his 15 seconds of fame) - at least I can say I've done my bit to try and increase the population at AFF...

My time here and on other FF B's that I frequent had dropped dramatically in the last couple of months and I see no end to it. Time for others to fill the void.
