Hello lovely helpful AFFers :)

Husband and I are travelling CBR-MEL-LAX-JFK-LAX-SYD-CBR in October/November this year. Our travel agent booked the international legs for us but we hadn't decided exactly when we wanted to do the domestic legs at that time so she just booked MEL-LAX-JFK-LAX-SYD. Also, I had some Qantas vouchers I bought when they were giving bonus points for the purchase of vouchers in late December and I wanted to use those. So I booked CBR-MEL and SYD-CBR myself.

I'd really like to have these all incorporated into one booking - partly in case there are delays but more importantly because we are travelling J and I believe we won't be eligible for the chauffeur service in CBR as we would be if it had all been booked together.

Is there any way of doing this? I presume I'll have to ring Qantas but if there's no chance I won't bother. If there is a chance are there any magic words to use? Would it be better if husband rang (he's platinum) instead of me (gold)?

Thank you in advance for your words of wisdom!

I'd get the husband to ring to get the domestic parts noted in the booking. It's a good thing to do anyway. And It MAY trigger the chauffeur option once it is in the system up & running for the US. If not, maybe then get him to ring & ask it it's a possibility to use the drive in CBR rather than MEL.

Ring up and ask for the 3 bookings to be TCP'd.

You can't actually join the bookings together. By calling QF they will be aware that you have the bookings together, however it doesn't afford you any extra protection should you miss your flights etc.
Also they Won't appear as linked, as that happens in the back end of the system.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
