Hi guys,

Will be leaving Johannesburg and flying back to Sydney in January next year. Currently organising my flights and tossing up whether to fly back with Etihad or Qatar. I typically have a couple days layover in Abu Dhabi or Dubai on the way back and have done so 3 times in the last couple of years so I'm thinking this time to try Qatar and start earning some One World status. I'll be platinum Velocity by Jan (currently gold) so I know Etihad seems like the obvious choice. What I'm wanting to know is if there is a way to see if the flights QR1368 (JNB - DOH) and QR908 (DOH to SYD) will have the newer business class? I've done a dummy booking but can't get to the seat selection before paying. Anyone flown those routes? I know the first states its a 777-300 ER and the second is the A380. I'm kinda wanting to spend a couple days checking out Doha. I appreciate any feedback.

If you're talking about Q Suites, I haven't seen or heard anything to say they are on the JNB route. Similarly, I don't believe there are any plans to retrofit the A380s with Q Suites so that leg will definitely be the still very impressive J product that's been around, at a guess, two or three years.
