JL codeshares

I'm not sure if these are new as a result of JALs restructure, but I've just discovered that they are codesharing on flights to/from NRT:

DXB (EK)
AKL (NZ)
CHC (NZ)
PPT (TN)

Although JL doesn't earn status bonus like BA and AA, still nice to know these JL codeshares can earn on fares that are otherwise limited within OW from certain origins (DXB and PPT especially).

Do these fares actually earn (guessing you are referring to the QFF). CX have similar codeshares that are on non OW metal that specifically do not earn on QFF, which is explicitly stated

It all depends on what's in the "Airline Earning Table" (link above).

For JAL (Japan Airlines) ...:

Excluded: Points and Status Credits are not earned on Codeshare Flights operated by airlines other than oneworld[SUP]®[/SUP] alliance airlines.

So looks like no go ...

Basically a codeshare flight operated by a different carrier only earns on the program of the airline whose code is being used.So if you were in JALs program you could earn JAL miles on EK if on the JL code.
Gets interesting-when we flew TN AKL-PPT mrsdrron flew the QF codeshare to earn on QF.I flew on the TN code which earnt AA miles-but we did sit side by side.
