Hi all,
Still a newbie here, only 2nd post so still trying to learn the ropes & not do the wrong thing.Very politely putting things >This is probably a post that is more so directed towards some of the ladies here who are 50 years old plus who will no doubt be able to relate to or even their partners who live with their ladies hot moments <LOL>.I am hoping to find a hotel for an over night stay that is close to JFK airport at New York that has a free shuttle included in their rates & fulfills my needs.Worse case is that I get can a taxi or an Uber.
I am specifically looking for a hotel that has a either balcony/terrace directly off the room (even shared),ground floor rooms or even an outdoor corridor.I am sure anyone reading this by now understands why I want this style of room !
I am confident that I am not the only woman here on this forum who may take need this into consideration. The easiest way of putting it is that I get very hot sometimes & like to/need to step outside to cool down & get some fresh air- no matter what the weather is I can feel hot ! You do NOT wanna hear some of my cheeky husband's jokes regarding this issue but I am sure that all of the ladies here as well as thri husband's would understand my comments.Naturally if I feel hot after I am in my PJ's I do not want to have to get dressed & go downstairs & walk through a hotel foyer & past other guests or hotel staff.
Can anyone think of a hotel near JFK airport that suits my requirements that is in a nice quiet neighbourhood that has nearby cafes or restaurants & supermarkets for some snacks that we could dine at AND is close to JFK & even has an airport shuttle & does NOT cost $300 plus ?
Also I can't help but ask are all of the hotels/motels near JFK airport noisy? Are you kept awake all night with the noise of planes taking off & landing ? We really would like a good nights sleep after travelling the whole way from Australia to JFK as we will have been travelling well over 30 hours by the time that we have left home & arrived at any hotel near JFK.I am sure we get some sleep in business class but it ain't quite the same as sleeping in a proper bed.I would really like to be able to have a good nights sleep in a nearby nice quiet JFK airport hotel before we fly to Canada the next day to see family. Any advice or input will be truly appreciated.
Thanks in advance & wishing you happy travels

I can not think of one JFK hotel that has an outside terrace or balcony. However Hampton Inn JFK is quiet and free shuttle. You can eat next door at tge Hilton. As for supermarket etc again nothing. Hotels near JFK are all about sleeping only.

All the airport hotels I have stayed in - at least those belonging to major chains/brands - have sound proofing. Otherwise few people would stay there!

@MrsCD what time are you arriving? As indicated there are no "Airport" hotels near JFK with windows that open, not have balconies.
