There's plenty of availability in Feb/Mar 11 . . . SYD-AVV no MEL at all

A lot of chaff and not much wheat in this sale
MEL is certainly listed as available. I suppose it is possible that ALL the MEL-SYD (and return) tickets have been sold :!:

Thanks for the heads up guys. Just booked Sydney to Honolulu for March next year in exit row seats.

Hubby just came home from LA yesterday and said Santa Monica was great for shopping so we think we will do a side trip while we are over in Hawaii. He flew economy VA by the way. Paid an extra $150 at check in for an exit row seat and said they were fantastic. He had an aisle seat and there was a guy at the window but no one in the middle seat both ways. What is the go with exit row seats? I would have thought that all seats would have to be filled -obviously not.

cyncynangel you are right, the domestic routes do not appear to be loaded. I was looking at Gold Coast to Sydney. Our surfboard is just a wee bit long for J* domestic planes although we did get away with it flying Ool-Syd-Hnl return a couple of months ago. I don't think I will risk it again - VB it is.

I saw tomorrows papers on the late news and at least one will have a banner on the bottom of the front page announcing this.

From a publicity perspective they will probably go with the Jetmail option which usually means the website falls over after 30 seconds.

That’s assuming the mail gets out in time, as it doesn’t always.

* Weekends in Fiji are out - all Fri / Sat flights to Nadi ex Sydney don't carry the special (all other days do) - yes, I know you have yield to consider and these flights can attract a few $$ extra

* The Sydney - Melbourne (Tulla) and vv flights must not have been loaded - every single day on the special shows zero. Don't tell me that the first special sold out in the wee small hours was that route - Will check later in the day -

Suggest you check that out Jetstar AFF Monitor (yes you - hello again!)

P.S Jetstar Twitter site is asleep - missed the sale completely! Isn't that what Twitter is all about - immediacy? There was a small hint though. Nudge nudge wink wink say no more.

Noted in 5th post ;)

Absolutely nuts how that one slipped through. Must have been a long week.

Thanks for the heads up to the sale.

We managed to get some good flights late last night.

There were definitely return flights available to Melbourne and lots to the sunshine coast.

The overseas flight deals were for one way only, the return flight was costed for both flyers, so that is why alanslegal showed an unusual total. Only one leg was 'friend fly free'.

No, that is incorrect. Both legs can be 'friend fly' free offer. I have found fares for SYD-HNL return at $998 for 2 people (light fare).

ok I stand corrected.

The ones I looked at last night didn't offer a fly free return anywhere within a 2 week period. Maybe you have to buy each leg separate? The red arrow only shows one direction for the overseas, whereas the domestic had the arrows going both ways, so thats why I thought it wasn't for return.

Good luck to everyone I hope you get your desired flights

Just had another look at some dates for overseas and now there are some return fly free options.

Maybe they drop in and out as people look at them

Good luck!

Jetstar have just got their act together and loaded SYD - MEL (Tulla) - SYD inventory. In the last 10 minutes or so

Even possible to do weekends

Mmm those 2 for 1 deals SYD-DRW-DPS with the 3am layover on the return are tempting...

I wonder if they'll have a Sale to commemorate setting their seat pitch to 27inches:?:

I hope there is another sale coming soon as the "take a friend" thing is not that great.
I need a cheap fare to HNL for the mother in law. :(
