And the QF website won't even bring anything up for me, its just shows a microsecond error!
Maybe QF preferes us to fly with JQ as its a lower cost base for them, and also they can charge us more if we want to collect QFF and QF SC from the flights, by paying more for the bundles.

I just did search on the Qantas website - a capital city to capital city domestic flights for June - and it returns a full range of flight options.

Does your device need a reboot?

Even with social distancing in place would people still want to travel so soon?

I'd imagine companies who have introduced work from home more often may schedule online meetings rather than face to face. I know we have hired quite a few people in the past month with online interviews.

Domestically yes (well by June almost certainly, and possibly by mid-May). In essence there will soon be virtually no one, or indeed no one to actually catch CV19 off within Australia.

Internationally no.

Yes for some time I would imagine that many companies will minimise interstate trips. But not only that as while they will get people back into the office I would imagine that for some time they would encourage not being in the office every day. Indeed some current office plans simple would not allow adequate social distancing and so some offices could not operate with full staff. If no outbreaks then in time the social distancing requirements will be relaxed and more and more staff would be back in the office full time or near full time. And yes interstate trips would slowly creep up too. Having said that I would anticipate that many companies will now permanently allow more flexible working arrangements that they have been willing to in the past.

Thanks all.
I will have to check and delete cookies/history on laptop...
Or maybe new laptop needed.
I assume MS means microsecond error, ...
Edit: smartphone does brings up QF fare prices ADL - AKL for Dec.
OK, need to check laptop cookies later.
Error:Script https://www.qantas.com/akamai/dr/js/dropdown/airport/timeZone.js failed to load after 10000ms
Double edit: the above is the error, have cleared cookies and history, and its the same result.
Maybe when the Covid19 pink notice up to goes, the error script will go as well.
But, so be it, if QF's solution in my case is the error script, it can save me spending money that is tight for the time being.
O, and yes, i did consider making JQ bookings again, but that one flight cancellation they knew 24 hours prior, but kept saying, check again at airport in 2015 or there abouts, nope, never again JQ.
Thanks again everyone, hope your QF booking dreams do come to fruition later, that it for me on this.

Just finished getting rid of 11,000 bit of goo in history on laptop, etc, an after a reboot, yep, all back to narmal.
The pink Covid sign is still there.
Didn't do a reboot/ie, turn off and restart yesterday, thats probably it.
Ok, back to normal now.
Ta again.

I only see flights from 01 July which lines up with the email I got from Qantas last night.

I'm not sure it's possible to have social distancing measures in place on flights even with reduced capacity.

- barding will take an eternity and so will deplaning
- movement inside the cabin needs to be restricted otherwise there'll be close contact with other passengers

Plus if what I've seen the past 4 days is any indication the majority of Australians do not understand what social distancing means.

- shopping at Coles yesterday was free for all and very little policing
- I said I wasn't going to walk on the river bikeway/walkway again but we did again yesterday. The majority of people walk straight past without keeping the 1.5m distance

Also if I'm not mistaken we had quite a few days of single digit new cases the past 2-3 weeks. It would appear the past 4 days that has increased to 20+ with yesterday 26 new cases. Yes I know there may well be an explanation but interesting one to keep an eye on.

Also offices will need to be reconfigered or people will have to attend on alternate days with current fitouts. I'm high risk. I've asked to stay away from office indefinitely.

Happy to be corrected but from what I've read, we are not going to get a virus from someone else 'walking past', whether on a footpath or at a supermarket.

The message has been stay 1.5 metres apart BUT the other suggestion is that one needs to have 'close contact' for '15 minutes or more' to be in any 'danger.'

Well that was short lived.

Logically it (QF) wouldn't do this, given the costs to the company, unless it was pretty certain restrictions wouldn't be lifted by then.

Some may have thought domestic flights would be back as 'normal' (albeit with fewer passengers) by July, but that seems a 'no.'

I wonder if the requirement to block seats so we can all be (supposedly) 1.5 metres apart from each other is influencing the decision?

Yeah, I’m surprised they have pulled July domestic flights given their recent messaging that they are cancelling Qantas Domestic flights until June. With elite sport coming back and school holidays, leaving July alone for 2-3 more weeks might have been a possibility but no means certainty.

Dated 7 May 2020

Hi p--and--t,
Like you, we love travel. And while the restrictions have been important to help stop the spread of COVID-19, we're excited that soon it may be possible to visit family and friends around Australia, and even in New Zealand.
Domestic and trans-Tasman flights
We're still flying a small number of domestic services for essential travel and to help transport freight, including medical supplies in Australia. And, we'll be ready to put on more flights when government restrictions ease with the great fares you expect from us.
Until then, while customer demand remains low, we're cancelling flights in Australia and trans-Tasman to the end of June 2020. If your flight is impacted, we'll contact you from early next week.
International flights
With the exception of flights to New Zealand, international travel restrictions are likely to remain in place a while longer. So we've extended our other international flight cancellations to the end of July 2020. We've already started contacting customers and will let you know by the end of this week if your flight is affected.
Our travel vouchers can soon be used on multiple bookings
Following your feedback, we've improved our travel vouchers. From mid-June, all new and existing vouchers issued as a result of the COVID-19 impact on travel can be used across multiple future bookings. That means you can use the value of your voucher to book more than one trip.
We also recently extended our voucher expiry dates, giving you 12 months to redeem a voucher and book any available flight. Our flights are generally made available around 12 months in advance, so you'll have about two years to travel.
If you made your booking through a travel agent or third-party website (Flight Centre), please remember that you'll need to contact them directly.
Help ease restrictions faster with the Australian Government's COVIDSafe App
In Australia, one of the fastest ways to help stop the spread of COVID-19 is by downloading the COVIDSafe app. The app speeds up the process for contacting people who may have had contact with someone with coronavirus. This will mean governments can ease travel restrictions sooner, while still keeping the community safe. Downloading the app is something you can do to help protect your family and friends and to help get us travelling again.
Thanks for your support - we can't wait to see you on board again soon.

Qantas have pulled all QF and JQ flights for June and July.

blackcat20, given the above post from p--and--t that contrradicts yours in respect of JQd flights for July 2020 - you suggest these have been cancelled, the more recent post one above suggests not - could you please provide a source for your comment?

AJ announcing it on the news, however I gather there may still be the odd flight running out of necessity. The quote above says essential flights, that's certainly not standard commercial operations. Our booked international flight is certainly cancelled.

Why have social distancing in place at all then?

At a supermarket or other stores you may queue for 1-2 minutes waiting for checkout so that's less than 15 minutes and people walking past you shouldn't be an issue either?

Why have the restriction of only 1 person per lift in the shopping centre? Police have been appearing on random floors and issued fines if more than 1 person in lift.

I was under the impression if someone near you sneezed and that gets on your hands and you then touch mouth, nose or eyes you may end up with the virus.

I don't want to take more risks. If people keep their distance we'll do ok.
