My goodness that article is difficult to follow. Incredibly clunky wording.

I note JQ CEO Bruce Buchanan is quoted as saying all JQ crew do CPR training.

While for some airlines holding a senior first aid training & renewing their cpr each year is mandatory, it is not a requirement for employees of Jetstar Asia flight attendants who frequently crew flights to/from and within Australia.

A JQ CSM told me that they only get 30 minutes training during their ground school that's it.

I've heard too many reports from Australian based JQ cabin crew about their overseas counterparts refusing to help passengers in need of medical attention. In one case a F/A who had only been on the job for 5 days was left with a passenger who fell over inflight and knocked herself out as all other (overseas) crew including the CSM deserted her.

What an extremely difficult article to follow.

Are they really that desperate for an extra airfare? Where do JQ staff get their directions when making these decisions?

Agree poorly written article,
but I would have thought with most airlines if you missed your flight you would have to buy a new fare - and some explanation as to why you missed the flight would be necessary.
Anyhow seems like the right result.
