Jetstar service changes - OOL HBA BNE

I can't see a post on this already...sorry if I'm doubling up.

Looks as if OOL-HBA service has been "suspended". Instead, BNE-HBA will commence from 27 October.

Will be good to have another direct BNE-HBA option.

JQ have a "launch sale".

I always thought donkey's years ago, BNE/HBA was operated by JQ. When did they get rid of it, or there never was such a route?

QF operated hba-bne couple of years back during peak summer period.. I just hope va now drops there usual 189 fare to compete

I'm doing OOL - HBA next Wednesday, looks like I got in just in time. It's better for me to connect through Mel with VA now anyway!

They pulled out in 2008. Jetstar pulls out of Hobart-Brisbane route - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

It was mentioned in the AFF 7 thread, and at least one member on the Gold Coast has received an email that the route has been cancelled, but unclear if they offered to move him to the BNE flight or simply cancelled his ticket.
