Jetstar seat selection through Qantas interface

So I have an international flight booked through Qantas on Jetstar but am unable to make a seat selection.

It allows me to nominate window/aisle seat selection, but come closure of the seat selection the Qantas Frequent Flyer site simply states that seat requests are unavailable for this flight.

Is there any way I can get around this? I am a platinum FF.

I ended up ringing JQ and did my seat selection over the phone.
