Jetstar Postcards

Just came across a new product on the Jetstar website called Jetstar Postcards.

Costs $3.50, you choose a photo and put text and Jetstar send it away from what i understand.

I think it's a pretty good idea and is something a little different from other ancillary costs that are just related to a flight.

I am left to wonder though; how come they don't need to charge a credit card fee on these transactions, yet they do with air fares?
