We are intending on going to SYD - DPS next year for our twice delayed trip to Bali.

QF flights are nearly booked out. JQ are not (in fact almost no seats taken).

We are really hoping for reward seats, but JQ is not even appearing in the QF booking engine (for either revenue or reward seats). Any idea what might be going on?

Yes fully available. I’ve called as well RE reward seats and they said none available, but I trust the website more. We are looking at 11 July out of Sydney.

I don't know why the Jetstar seats are not yet appearing on the Qantas website.

But I would suggest that the Qantas flights are likely not nearly booked out. I think it's more likely that they appear this way because Qantas isn't releasing many seats in the lower fare classes yet due to all the uncertainty around travel for next year. Not saying the flights won't run, but that Qantas isn't yet confident that it's schedule for next July won't change so is holding off making cheaper seats available for sale.

If you search for SYD-PVG flights on QF, there are barely any seats available either. But that's just because Qantas is only selling full Y/J fares at the moment - an indication that it doesn't yet know whether it will be operating these flights and may cancel the route. Those flights are definitely not close to fully booked.

I'm sure all will work itself out well before next July.
