Made it to Bali on JQ35 - ended up being the new Neo. Very comfortable plane, did seem a bit quieter and excellent large bins (had extra leg room row) and the crew was great - and it was (basically) on-time. Many people aboard from cancelled flights (including displaced J passengers who got a $30 food voucher) over the last few days (they must be still having extensive 787 issues). When going into the Qantas Club I asked will they do a boarding call, the reply I got was 'hopefully...'.

787 issues - one was parked at Mel and one at Dps...

Bring back the A330s, they were far more reliable.

Just on the neo and seating, all of row 1 have a barrier in front, but offer extra leg room. For some reason 1ABC are sold as 'extra leg room' and 1DEF as sold as 'upfront' at a lower rate - but the whole of row 1 has the same leg room. So if you can get 1DEF you will save some $ and still get the same extra leg room as the other side of the aisle...

My parents were on the delayed downgauged service from DPS-MEL last night. Not happy. After waiting ages for baggage they ultimately got home at 3am, living about a 40 minute drive from the airport.

They have been told will get a refund of $463 plus 2 x $400 vouchers.
