Apparently due to staff shortages at Sydney Airport, Airservices Australia has been limiting flights to four minutes apart since 1000 hours and has cancelled any takeoffs between 1530 and 1600 hours today, Friday 12 September.

The controller shortages have led Airservices Australia have implement a departure limit, spacing them four minutes between one another from 10am to 11pm on Friday.

Also on Friday 12 September, JQ8993 is operating empty from SYD down to MEL with B788 VH-VKE. It took off at 1535 instead of its timetabled 1255 with gate arrival likely at 1652 instead of 1430. It looks like forming JQ63, the mid afternoon 1525 hours from MEL to Vietnam's SGN. 1745 hours is the unrealistic forecast departure from MEL.

Old news, aircraft are taking off right now as Air Services and airlines recover service levels.

One I missed was on Friday 12 September with B788 VH-VKF operating JQ23, the 1140 hours late morning BNE-KIX that diverted to NGO. Weather?

Yesterday, Saturday 13 it operated (presumably empty) as JQ8991 from NGO to KIX, arriving at 0112 hours after a short flight. AFAIK it remains in KIX.

If so, this won't help to maintain JQi's schedules.
