JQ2 HNL-MEL (VH-VKK) did not take off until 11 02, 178 late. Arrival is expected at 18 10, 125 tardy. This was a result of the previously advised delay of JQ1

JQ17 MEL-HKT 15 20 service is cancelled.

Also on Thursday 29 November, JQ513 (1300 hours early afternoon SYD down to MEL) was in the sky right on 1500 hours. Arrival should be at 1620 hours, 105 minutes late. Aircraft is A321 VH-VWQ.

JQ2 HNL-MEL (VH-VKK) did not take off until 11 02, 178 late. Arrival is expected at 18 10, 125 tardy. This was a result of the previously advised delay of JQ1...

With holding patterns occurring to a large number of MEL arrivals as at 1800 hours on Thursday 29 November, predicted arrival for JQ2 has blown out to about 1825. At 1809 it remained in a racetrack formation above the usual Mt Buller (Vic) spot.

JQ419 (A320 VH-VGI, the 1810 hours SYD down to MEL) took off at 1906 so arrival has become 2030 hours, 45 minutes late.

Late on 29 November, JQ750, the 2045 hours LST up to SYD that took off at 2124 with A320 VH-VQH is arriving at 2300 (40 late). Touchdown was 2255, cutting it fine re the 2300 hours SYD curfew.

On Friday 30 November 2018, the 0810 hours morning MEL to SYD JQ504 and the 0830 hours MEL - HBA (JQ703) got the chop.

Continuing with 30 November 2018, JQ954 (1145 hours SYD - CNS, A320 VH-VFI) took off at 1310. Predicted arrival is 1450, an hour behind the timetable.

JQ1036 is an altered flight (B788 VH-VKF): it took off from DPS at 0908 on 30 November and should arrive in MEL at its gate at about 1658.

JQ517 (A321 VH-VWU, the 1400 hours SYD down to MEL) did not become airborne until 1602 so arrival is at 1712 hours, 97 late. It had arrived in SYD 46 minutes late at 1356 hours this afternoon ex CNS, but unfortunately lost further time on the ground in Sydney. JQ517 is its sixth consecutive flight (from last night) when this plane has been more than 20 minutes late arriving.

JQ35, the 1855 hours early evening from MEL to DPS is predicted to push back four hours late.

Saturday 1 December 2018 sees JQ402 (A320 VH-VGF, the 0705 hours SYD to OOL) having a late start to its morning, as it was still taxiing in Sydney at 0818 hours. Arrival will be at least 50 late.

JQi26 from CNS to MEL (B788 VH-VKG, the 0710 hours) took off at 0757 so arrival at 1207, 37 late is expected.

A lot worse is the DPS - MEL JQ46 (B788 VH-VKI), the 2315 hours Friday 30 November flight that took off on Saturday at the unattractive hour of 0303. Arrival should be at 1050, three hours late.

JQ509, midmorning 1045 hours SYD down to MEL on Sunday 2 December 2018 (A320 VH-VQH) took off at 1147 so the inevitable result is projected arrival at 1306, 46 late.

The 0855 hours BNE - MEL (JQ504) is similar, having taken off 69 minutes later than scheduled departure. VH-XJE should arrive at 1213 hours, 53 late.

As at 1240 hours on Sunday 2 December 2018, most aircraft seem to be using runway 25 in Sydney so if that continues, delays are likely this afternoon as the Sunday peak comes upon us.

JQ510 (1050 hours MEL - SYD, A321 VH-VWZ) was airborne at 1153 so arrival is at 1300 hours even , 45 late.

Apologies: not sure what I meant. Mistake!

Continuing with Sunday 2 December 2018, JQ513, the 1300 hours early afternoon SYD down to MEL (A321 VH-VWZ) had yet to join the queue for runway 25 takeoff by 1410 so is likely to be at least an hour late arriving at gate in the southern capital.

Northbound, JQ512 (1250 ex MEL) took off at 1406 so is arriving in SYD at 1514, 59 late with A320 VH-VQH.

By 1735 on Sunday 2 December 2018, SYD had reverted to using the north south runways so that may mitigate delays. Too late, though, for anyone on cancelled flights.

JQ476 (A320 VH-VQJ, the 1630 hours MEL - NTL that took off at 1726) should arrive at 1836 hours, 36 late.

Monday 3rd of December sees VH-VQQ struggling all day. Firstly delayed as JQ503 SYD-MEL 7 00 service which departed at 8 22, with arrival at 9 49, 74 behind. This had a knock on effect on JQ832 MEL-PPP 9 15 service which did not leave until 10 59. Landed at 12 24, 74 min tardy. Delay is also extended to JQ831 PPP-MEL leg back, which departed at 13 15, arrival is suggested at 16 59, 74 behind schedule.

JQ128 DPS-ADL 22 40 service (VH-VGA) left until 00 38. Arrival was at 7 39, 74 late.

JQ405 OOL-SYD 8 00 service (VH-VGQ) depart at 9 28, 88 tardy. Landed at 11 37, 67 behind schedule. This impacted JQ816 SYD-BNE originally scheduled for 11 01, which ended up taking off until 12 46, arrival was at 13 04, 94 tardy. This also affected JQ825 BNE-SYD leg, which departed until 14 10, 130 late. Arrival is suggested at 16 23, 108 min late.

JQ506 MEL-SYD 9 25 service (VH-XJE) took off at 11 52, 152 late. Landed at 12 48, 118 min behind.

JQ942 MEL-CNS 11 25 service did not take off until 13 29, 124 tardy. Arrival is suggested for 15 17, 92 behind.

JQ736 LST-MEL 12 55 service (VH-XSJ) left until 14 02, 67 behind. Arrived at 15 03, 63 tardy.

JQ713 MEL-HBA 13 00 service (VH-VWY) departed at 14 22. Landed at 15 21, 66 behind schedule.

JQ953 CNS-SYD 7 00 service was cancelled.

Also on 3 DEcember 2018, JQ27 (B788 VH-VKK, the 1510 hours mid afternoon from SYD up to HKT) did not take off until 1723, so estimated arrival is 2214 hours, 124 late.
