Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

A320 VH-VQQ on JQ101, the 0100 hours DPS - TSV that took off at 0139 hours on Thursday 11 should arrive at roughly 0824 hours, 39 minutes late.

I had to look up airport code 'CGO' that is Zhengzhou, a city of more than 10 million in central mainland China. Its twice weekly flight to MEL, JQ68 (B788 VH-VKA) should arrive on Thursday 11 at 1308 hours, 38 minutes tardy.

The afternoon of Friday 12 is unsettled in MEL with heavy rain to the east. Although it doesn't seem especially busy, there's quite a bit of holding occurring. JQ517 (A321 VH-VWZ, the 1405 hours SYD - MEL that took off at 1452) should arrive at 1620, 40 minutes late.

Saturday 13 January has JQ957 (mid morning 0920 hours CNS down to SYD that took off at 1010 hours, A321 VH-VWW) arriving at a suggested 1351 hours, 36 minutes late.

Later on Saturday 13 January, thunderstorms are occurring around MEL and AVV as JQ608 (1735 hours AVV up to SYD that took off at 1856, A320 VH-VFT) looks to be arriving at around the 2007 hours mark, 67 minutes late.

A320 VH-VQF has had a late start to its Sunday 14 January with takeoff not until 0744 hours from CHC despite a timetabled 0630 hours departure. SYD arrival should be at 0843, 43 late.

Delayed by a fairly brief holding over the favoured position at Mt Buller (Vic), JQ503 (0700 hours SYD - MEL, A320 VH-VGU that was airborne at 0736) should arrive at 0908, 33 minutes late.

Wednesday 28 February sees A320 VH-VFY on JQ523 (1840 hours SYD down to MEL) not having become airborne until 1932. Hence the likely arrival has become 46 late at 2101, not helped by what looks to be ATC speed restrictions due to a number of arrivals ex the west or northwest.

JQ611 SYD-AVV 1/3/18 diverted to MEL due to runway light failure
Buses were ordered to take us to AVV so we arrived 2 hours late

Unfortunately had to pick up car

Today's MEL-ZQN delayed three hours, then turned around in flight to return to MEL (engine issues). Total delay, including resumption of journey, 5+ hours (replacement plane). Pax issued with $10 voucher for refreshments.

On Monday 5 March, the HBA up to SYD JQ722, the 1625 hours (A320 VH-VGU) took off at 1656, only about 15 minutes late, but arrival is expected to be delayed until about 1840, half an hour behind the timetable.

Tuesday 6 March sees the arriving JQ8 into MEL (ex SIN) cancelled. Normal time it comes in is 0620 hours.

On 5 March, the evening JQ520 with A321 VH-VWY, the 1900 hours, took off at 2002 from MEL so SYD arrival is suggested at 2113 hours, 48 late.

Tuesday 6 March 2018 has JQ825 (timetabled 1205 hours from BNE down to SYD that was airborne at 1329 with A320 VH-VQA) suggested as arriving at 1537 hours, 57 minutes behind time.

Further south, the AYQ - MEL JQ665 (A320 VH-JQG) that was in the sky at 1142 should be at its tarmac spot at 1542 hours this afternoon, 32 minutes tardy.

The afternoon BNE up to CNS (A320 VH-VQF on JQ930) did not become airborne until 1417 despite a timetabled departure of 1315, so arrival is forecast for 1621 this arvo, 46 minutes late.

I was in BNE earlier today, JQ825 BNE-SYD delay was an engineering/tech inspection required, glad to hear they eventually got underway.

My earlier JQ103 TSV-BNE got reasonably delayed this morning, was it a late DPS-TSV flight that caused that? (didn't catch the rego number sorry).

eastwest101, accurate as usual.

Looks like JQ101 from DPS down to TSV was A320 VH-VGA that arrived in the latter at roughly 0835 hours, 50 minutes late. It had not been as late on its outbound trip to DPS. Naturally you were late, taking off at 0944 as against an 0900 timetabled pushback. Looks like you arrived in BNE at approximately 1118 hours, 28 minutes tardy.

In the last week, VH-VGA has not once visited SYD, ADL or PER but has undertaken many trips to and from BNE, as well as visiting CNS, HBA, LST, MEL and PPP. No great surprise but these JQ planes can be on the same roster for a while, unless something goes wrong.

Security camera terminal issues in SYD as advised by AviatorInsight and others have led to a lot of late departures on the morning of Friday 9 March 2018.

JQ501, the 0605 hours SYD down to MEL (A320 VH-VQP) did not take off until 0827 hours, so arrival should be at 0942, 127 late.

VH-VQM on JQ503, the 0700 hours departure on the time route was airborne at 0840 so its arrival looks to be 0955 hours, 80 late.

VH-VGP, similarly an A320 on JQ456, the 0725 hours SYD- BNK was in the sky at 0911, so it won't be sitting at its destination in northern NSW until an expected 1015 hours, 95 minutes late.

JQ813 (A321 VH-VWT, the 0720 hours BNE south to SYD that took off at 0852) should arrive at 1059, 64 late.

The delays vary markedly and largely depend upon whether the aircraft has been in SYD this morning.

Some JQ delays look to be worse than VA's.

The holiday Monday in Victoria (12 March 2018) sees JQ742 from LST arriving in MEL at 1905 hours, half an hour behind time with A320 VH-JQX. MEL arrivals pretty busy as one might expect with returning long weekenders.

JQ18 from HKT to MEL (B788 VH-VKD) far worse with a 1912 hours arrival instead of the scheduled 1020 hours expected, which will be 532 minutes late. There does not seem to be any outbound JQi flight delayed as a result.

Major problems also for JQ515, the 1355 hours SYD - MEL (A320 VH-VFY) with takeoff not until 1845. Expected arrival is 1902 hours, 212 minutes late.
