With fog in ADL on the morning of Tuesday 8 August, JQ780 (0655 hours ex MEL) was not in the sky until 0848 hours. A320 VH-VGR is suggested as arriving at 0835, 50 minutes late as some other flights such as SQ279, QF671 and VA211 have been able to land after holding.

VH-VGR then operated the 0815 hours ADL - MEL JQ775, taking off at 0920. MEL arrival is estimated at 1056 hours, 46 minutes late.

JQ960 (the 0745 hours ADL - CNS, A320 VH-VQE) took off at 0825 so arrival is estimated 36 late at 1151 hours.

Wednesday 9 August has JQ478 (2000 hours MEL - NTL that took off at 2039) likely to arrive 33 minutes late at 2203. Plane is A320 VH-VFJ. It had arrived ex HBA on JQ710 into MEL at about 1803, three minutes late so not quite sure why the delay to JQ478 after an extremely generous turnaround for a low cost carrier.

The long time between flights is indicative of relatively slack demand on days like Tuesday and Wednesday.

Later on 10 August, the 1545 hours CNS - MEL JQ951 (A320 VH-VFI) did not become airborne until 1819. It should pull in to its allocated airport tarmac space in MEL at 2125 tonight, 135 minutes late. This aircraft arrived in CNS today at about 1357, only 12 minutes late on the longish domestic flight from ADL, JQ951, so goodness knows what went wrong in Far North Queensland with the aircraft, staff or other delay cause.

JQ37 (B788 VH-VKL, the 1640 hours latish afternoon flight that was in the sky at 1801 hours after departing from SYD) is suggested as arriving in DPS at 2229 hours, 84 minutes late. JQ38 is predicted to depart DPS at 2340 tonight, 65 minutes late as a result for the redeye back to SYD.

The 1950 hours MEL up to CNS, JQ948 is predicted to depart slightly more than two hours late.

Friday 11 August sees JQ61 (1520 hours mid afternoon SYD up to SGN with B788 Vh-VKE) having become airborne at 1639. Arrival is estimated at 2228 hours, 83 late.

JQ143, the 1940 hours evening SYD - CHC that was in the sky at a much delayed 2135 should arrive at the uncomfortable hour of 0250 on Saturday 12 instead of 0050. A320 VH-VGP has the task.

Heaps of delays coming up due to fog in BNE this morning... Let's get some popcorn ready for the FB complaints

JQ110 PER-DPS is suffering from technical issues and pax have had to deplane.

Looks like a further two hour delay on top of the hour or so already incurred.

I notice that there is not a single information screen visible in the QP after the 'renovation'.

Edit: It appears to be a left side engine issue....

By 'information screen' do you mean screens showing flight arrivals and departures, or something else?

That is correct.

No flight departures screen for any airline can be found within the lounge. One wall mounted monitor is currently off which could be the single information screen.

For completeness, it appears that JQ110 departed PER at 11:23, which was almost four hours late.

The aircraft was A320 VH-VQZ. On Saturday 12 August it arrived DPS at approximately 1520 instead of the timetabled 1105 hours. The plane then turned around and as JQ109, the schjeduled 1150 hours departure it took off at 1626, with estimated PER arrival at 1942 to be 252 minutes late. Unbelievably it is then due to operate JQ116, the 1750 hours PER - DPS that looks like being able to depart if all goes well at about 2050, so the good news is it may then "only" be three hours late not four.

Interestingly this aircraft was last on the Australian east coast on Monday 7 August when at about 2030 hours it departed as JQ988 for PER.

On a mostly benign weatherwise winter's day on the east coast of Oz (but not in Perth on the west coast, where there is rain, and Sydney, where there is smoke haze, the latter affecting some flights) on Monday 14 August 2017, JQ511 (the 1215 hours SYD - MEL that was airborne at 1350 hours, A320 VH-VGV) should be on blocks at 1516 hours, 86 late.

A320 VH-VFI on JQ773 (1130 hours late morning ADL across to MEL that was airborne 1342) looks to be arriving at 1516, 111 minutes late.

JQ438 (1405 hours early afternoon MEL - OOL) is predicted to depart 95 minutes late at 1540 hours.

B788 VH-VKJ from HNL to MEL is expected to arrive at 1544, 64 minutes tardy.

JQ464 (1530 afternoon flight from MEL up to BNK, A320 VH-VQM) took off at 1723 with the predicted 1913 hours arrival to be 43 minutes late.

On a busy early evening Monday 14 August 2017 in SYD with quite a few holds for incoming aircraft, JQ3 (B788 VH-VKD, the 1625 hours quite long stage from SYD up to HNL) took off at 1809. Arrival is forecast as 0728 hours same day, 88 minutes late. This will delay JQ4 ex HNL on Monday morning.

JQ120 (1550 hours mid afternoon NAN down to SYD with takeoff at 1624, A320 VH-VGI) is arriving at about 1928 hours, 38 late.
