Does anyone have Club membership and do they find it good value? Not referring to the baggage/seat discounts but access to exclusive sales and pre access general sales. Has anyone bought international sale flights during a presale, for instance cherry blossom in Korea/Japan?
Have there been any international business class sales? I noticed someone on another thread happy about scoring one

Thanks :)

Only club members have access to the first day of major sales. The best flight dates sell out during this presale period. So if you are able and happy to book seats literally as soon as you see the sale, then being a club member is a must in order to secure the best dates.

Having said that, they don't run as many major sales these days as they did in previous years. They must be trying to increase their profit margins.

Yes I have it. $55 per annum and it comes with a $50 hotel voucher. Last year I saved approximately $100 just off the standard fares.

Do the figures and see if it works for you. The Club pricing is visible when choosing your flights and you can join and receive the benefits whilst booking.

The base fare structure with discounts is probably a bit scammy as the pricing would no doubt be the same if the program didn’t exist, but the discount add ons can be worth it.

I have found it very beneficial.

Scored return flights to Melbourne for $29x2 and a return flight to Japan for less than $400 (free return) in the member only presales last year.

By the time they hit the general release many dates were entirely gone.

For non sale fares the discounts for luggage and picking exit row seats over 12 months paid for the membership; so everything else (above) was a bonus.

My membership fee was grandfathered and I only pay $50.
