Flying to Hawaii in 2010 with Jetstar in their Star class section.

Any ideas which are their better seats for my husband & self?

Thanks.

I don't know about the seats but those dreadful entertainment bricks they hand out are aweful. The weight alone makes me think someone in Qantas (Jet*) got a very good kick back for approving them for in flight entertainment.

Welcome to AFF!

Seats 1A/1B are best for couples, with 1E/1F also not bad....the bulkhead means no reclining seats in front of you and you are away from the galley which is front of seats 1J/1K.

Totally agree with the above. Just flew back from Osaka to Gold Coast yesterday and we had seats 1E/1F. No complaints whatsoever, and would request these seats again.

Hi ranger, welcome to AFF !

We recently flew CNS-NRT in 1A & 1B and loved it. (Cabin was 80% empty...)

I would recommend any seat in front row but failing that other passengers were more than welcome to move around and move to any free seats once the plane had taken off. Enjoy !!

Totally agree. Did this to Hawaii and back as well. Have a good flight!

1E/F definitely (unless one of you is 190+cm)

Then 1A/B over 1J/K as the sunrise on the 1K window can cook you.

I have flown 1 J/K because 1A/B and 1E/F were already allocated. Very glad I opted for these seats, no reclining seats in front and plenty of leg room. The cabin was 100% full so there was no option to move around. With paid ODUs being available I wouldn't count on the cabin being empty.

Yep, I'd say 1A/1B are the best (just did SYD-HNL a couple of weeks ago). But as other have said, any 1st row bulkhead are good/best. Had 3J/3K coming home and found it a bit cramped with video player and woman in front on full recline the whole journey back. Which was a bit unnecessary for a day flight :-(

It seems that 1e/f are a good choice from the opinions here, but just to clarify, we are a couple on the SYD/DPS/SYD flight in Sept 2010. I'm 6'3'' (191cm) and wife about 170cm. No kids:p.

Is this still a good choice? Currently have 1j/k on the way over afternoon flight - drinking eating time etc!!) and 2d/e on the way back (overnight flight - sleeping time!!).

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I've used 1E and when fully reclined my 6' leaves a few cm at the bulkhead.

Surely that depends on which direction you're flying?! You could equally be cooked in 1A...
Certainly; however I was replying to th OP's specific situation:

Flying generally NE into a sunrise, port side seats avoid the issue.

Equally, if travelling on the red-eye BKK-MEL I would recommend 1J/K over 1A/B for the same reasons.

Maybe for you but for them it obviously was necessary.
