Have just returned from a short ( 3 week trip ) to the UK. Kids up watching Foxtel at 3am this morning. School and work :( tomorrow.
Anyone have any tips on managing a 10 hour time difference flying east ?
FWIW we stopped in HKG for 3 days on the way home but the overnight flight HKG-MEL seems to have set us backwards :0

I would not be too worried. Kids have bigger batteries than adults.

Once they are back in the swing of the school routine they will adjust soon enough. Or so I have always found.

Most of our trips we have only returned home a day or two before school. Yes they have kept odd hours for a bit, but soon adjusted back.

One trick is regardless of when they fall asleep, to still wake them up near normal time.

Threaten them with a severe beating.
Used to work with mine until they learned about the kids' helpline.

I assume its sorted out but TV is very stimulating and should be avoided in this situation. Give them a boring book to read. Mine would get a piano lesson, makes em yawn instantly.

The way I dealt with this on our big famly trip in Apr-May (with 2-3 days in SIN on way back, so similar to you) - I left the country again 24 hours after we arrived. Mr Katie got to deal with jet lagged Little Miss 4 all on his own. :p
