JetGo seems to be close to commencing commercial operations

Rumour has it that this week is to see some "major" JetGo announcement with regard to expanded regional jet services with their recently bolstered Embraer fleet.

Ports mentioned seem to be RMA, GLT, HVB, DBO, TSV, SYD, BNE, OOL, PER, MEL

Does anyone have any news?

So from that article, Friday is the announcement day and it appears it will be SYD-RMA and SYD-GLT. Looking on their web site shows a booking engine with other destinations.

Seems they'll be running BNE-TMW starting January.

Would have been great for me a month ago. I had to drive there and back on consecutive days last month because BNE-SYD-TMW-SYD-BNE wasn't going to work for me.

Agreed given that when I tried the booking engine, it didn't work!

Interesting ... I know of 5 FIFO workers that do SYD BNE RMA 2 on 2 off and they mentioned quite a few SYD based mates as well do the same thing..... a direct service would be great for them ..... QF tried a SYD -GLT mainly aimed at the FIFO LNG workers ... and that did not last long ...

I think QF now doing SYD-WTB will have been a big factor. A lot of the FIFO workers to RMA actually drive some distance back toward T'mba for the Surat-Miles-Chinchilla region of the Surat basin. Wellcamp will likely be just as convenient as Roma.
