We are doing a trip CNS/BNE/LAX using a JASA and wonder if we are covered by our ANZ Plat. CC travel insurance as we paid the fees with it but not the flights, the policy says:

• Prior to the commencement of your Journey, purchased with your Platinum account a minimum of $250 for your pre-booked transport costs (airfares and/or cruise)

One would think "transport costs" would cover it?.

If you paid more than $250 in fees etc I would say you are covered, but a call to the insurer would be in order to confirm, you dont want to be left arguing should things go wrong, especially with an insurance company

You are covered. I do the same as you many times (just paying fees and taxes on tickets) and it's fine (I call them once a year to confirm nothing's changed :)). But for peace of mind you can call yourself.
