Hi

I am currently searching for a JASA between SIN and LHR. Found out that there are issues with the booking engine, so will wait for it to clear up.

However, just as a trial, I went to see how much the JASA would cost, coming up to $4.8k with the minumum points required. However, after reading the fare conditions for the JASA, which is a full Business fare, it says:

Flight Upgrade Awards are eligible on this fare.

Flight Upgrade Awards can only be redeemed on Qantas operated flights.
Points and Status Credits are not earned when travelling on Qantas Any Seat
Awards. Classed as Business when Status Credits are earned on this fare.
Frequent Flyers do not earn points on Qantas codeshares with Deutsche
Bahn.

This appeared very strange to me!!! Can someone explain? Thoughts appreciated!

Also, if anyone has the capacity to, would it be possible to post the availability for a Classic/JASA Business award from SIN-LHR on QF9 or QF31 on 8-Dec from EF?

Thanks.

I think the wording may be old, from back when points and SC were not earned. It would probably be easy for a route like SIN-FRA to slip through the cracks when the rest of the fare rules were updated.

A quick search of other routes shows that points and SC are earned on any seat awards, and the FF T&C says the same.

There is no business (U) availability on those flights, but there is 1 first (P) on QF9.
