JAL to axe Brisbane flights

Japan Airlines will axe Brisbane flights from September 30 as part of a network-wide restructure which will see its international operations slashed by 40%.

Brisbane will be one of 15 international routes axed, while 30 domestic routes will also be slashed as the ailing carrier looks to return to profitability as part of a state-backed revitalisation plan.

Looking at the link JAL have really cut routes.

No more AMS flight which will upset family members as they use that flight to get to Holland yearly to see family. I guess it will now be via another port or another airline.

Hope this helps them survive.

FWIW Emirates are commencing flights from Australia-AMS with one stop from May 1
