JAL Status Credits

I'm wanted to do this routing BNE HNL KIX BNE, can't seem to do it on Qantas website, but can do it BNE NRT HNL KIX BNE on JAL, we will be going buiness so the status credits I earn on JAL go towards to QF status?
I understand I earn less points and I understand this might be a rooke question.

You would earn Qantas status credits on Japan Airlines as long as you've booked an eligible fare class. For JL business class, C, D, J and X classes earn at the business rates as per the Qantas partner airline earning charts.

I can't load KIX-BNE on the QF SC calculator, but it appears if some legs were on JQ, perhaps even codeshared, you'd actually earn more SC with the JL routing.

Those particular city combos return ridiculous prices. I'd recommend switching out KIX for NRT and then sorting out domestic travel separately. The prices come down significantly, and you can fly in/out of Australia on QF which means extra SC earn.



If you must fly in/out of KIX, look into the oneworld Circle Pacific fares... and make sure you tack on a few extra flights for bonus SC e.g. KIX-BKK on JL, BKK-SYD on QF

That'd be because no oneworld partners fly KIX-BNE. Jetstar fly KIX-OOL and KIX-CNS, and QF fly NRT-BNE.

Yep, it was a screenshot from Skyscanner.

I can't remember what dates I was searching for, but if you plug BNE-NRT, NRT-HNL, HNL-NRT, NRT-BNE into a multi-city search you should be able to get the same ballpark.

It's a JAL fare, basis DNN0NOCE, base fare 5800AUD.

Having a quick browse at the fare rules, you might even be able to fly BNE-SIN(QF)-NRT(JL)-HNL(JL) if you wanted to maximise status credits (extra 100 each way or thereabouts).

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but flew JAL last week in J and points and status credits have yet to be posted even after claiming the missing points so my question is how long should it take for JAL to post points and credits to my QF FF account ?

Generally most partners post once a week or so - old school batch file I suspect. So I'd be waiting to the 2wk point

JL status credits have consistently posted on Mondays for me. Saturday through Friday departures usually post the following Monday, so a 3-10 day wait.

Hi all just an update re our JAL sc’s and points ....they were processed and in our respective accounts by midday Monday so thanks for all your help
