Hi all,

Is it possible to do a booking flying from NRT on the JAL site?

I'm wanting to fly from NRT to PEK later this year. The aussie JAL site insists I start from either SYD \ BNE, which doesn't help me, and the Japan site simply gives a flight schedule for international flights.
Does anyone know if it's possible to make international bookings on the JAL website which start from Japan?

Thanks Mal,

At least I've now got an idea on price, I'll try a few other regions and see if any will accept aussie CC's.

The JAL international online booking only works from Japan if you have it in Japanese (not English). You can use the Google translator to work you way through the booking. (Or have a Japanese friend!) You have to guess a couple of buttons to click but got to credit card purchase after choosing seats etc and seems that the credit card used must be one of the travellers.

I tried to do a AU JAL online booking from Mel to Europe via NRT, but the drop down menu only had
SYD \ BNE.I got around this by calling the JAL Sydney office. They did the booking without too much fuss.Consider calling the Sydney office

Yes, I recommend you call JAL Oz if you wish to purchase. FYI NRT-PEK has been historically very expensive (for such a short trip), so it may be worthwhile to redeem some FF points for that trip, if available, particularly if you have miles on an asian carrier that judge mileage redemption on distance.

I had the same problem as I wanted to fly from CBR. I phoned JAL to get a price but they add a $60 reservation fee to the fare. So I phoned a TA who matched the price and waived the cc fee :D.
