Thought I would start a new thread as the last was 2013
Well I was quite happy to have many hours in Tokyo as I was going to go into Tokyo but it was hot and humid so decided to. hit the F lounge. what a surprise very sparse and very little choice in food the sushi bar I had heard of was offering 2 fish sushi and 1 egg.
soup was carrot or potato and a few kale type salads .and a few curry type dishes
the champagne was nothing I had ever heard of but Joseph Perrier in the red room.
very little comfy seats.
no fruit platters that I could see
good shower facilities and lots of windows but doesn't compare to many of the F lounges I have visited.
went to the CX J lounge that was not much better but more comfy chairs and sparkling wine.
not the place to hang out if not necessary in my view.

The lounges have basically only reopened recently. We were there in late 2019 and it was very different with quite decent food offerings and a cooking station. The fellow was doing different dishes each time we went there. Unfortunately when we get there at the end of the year both of us will have lost our OWE status so will have to slum it.

The CX HND lounge only just reopened a few weeks ago. I've only been in there once, just after it first opened (when the terminal was extended).

The JL lounges had service changes due to Covid. The majority of the food is no longer available for self selection and has to be ordered via the QR code at the table you're using.

When I was in the JAL F Lounge in March, I was quite happy with the space and the beverages. I tried several gins and the champagne. However, I was also surprised that there was only sushi to eat. I ordered the 3 piece meal. Very tasty, but there were no other options at all apart from sushi!

I will be at Narita in a few weeks, but flying Star Alliance this time. I will be interested in what is on offer.

There are other options. You have to order them via the QR code at your table.
I was in the HND F lounge in June and August. Both times I had enough food, none of which was sushi.

I really liked the curry. Sadly couldn't eat much last trip, had some bad kaarage at an izakaya and ended up with indigestion.

Hopefully next trip on OW I get to check out a bit more.

Off topic but any decent lounges for skyteam elite plus (delta gold) at HND? Flying MU out of HND in a couple of weeks time.
Edit: basic search suggests I'd be given JAL J sakura lounge.
