Hi All,

I am looking to price a flight (Y) from LHR to Sydney in February next (return flight). I was interested in doing a short stop in Tokyo so naturally thought I would look at JAL. However, when I look at them, there prices are just insane on their website. £6,000 pounds for a return flight. Ridiculous. Can anyone recommend any o/s sites to book JAL on?

Also, I presume that if the airlines were going to be releasing specials for Feb they would have done so by now. It seems most specials are the usual early bird deals post April. Although it is summer in oz i would have thought that Feb would have been a bit quieter.

Most BA and QF fares from UK to Australia are valid for travel with a stopover in Tokyo. Such a routing would use BA flying LHR-NRT and QF flying NRT-SYD.

Do you really want a Y fare? The cheapest BA/QF fare I can see ex-UK at that time would be an O fare (JBBGB) for GBP513 plus extras. That is going to be way cheaper than Y (YRT=GBP5140) which is 10 times the O fare.

Thanks NM. That fare would be wonderful. Y is not necessary at all if it is on BA/QF.

Did you find it on expert flyer? Ive rung a few travel agents and there trying ti push Virgin Atlantic on to me via HKG (I love HKG) but would prefer something different for this time.
