Too bad mate, can't attack staff.... what disgusting behaviour....

I usually support her voice and her position on a lot of veteran affairs actually, this is really disappointing to hear.....

----------

The senator has been suspended for six months across all Qantas services, including airlines.

This followed an incident on March 25 at the front desk of the Chairman’s Lounge in Melbourne.

Senator Lambie reacted adversely to being told she couldn’t access the lounge, dropping expletives and referring to “cough power” and telling staff “your CEO is a poof”.

The whole incident was captured on CCTV.

After negotiations, a decision was made to institute a six-month suspension from early April.

For travel to and from her home state, Lambie will now have to rely on Virgin services in and out of Tasmania. An airline that doesn’t have any lounges in the Apple isle, let alone services to the north west coast.

I'll use her membership while she can't!

Sounds very much like she was drunk, and probably argued as much to get leniency when negotiating her 6-month ban instead of lifetime ban.

Is this an epic case of DYKWIA?

On Monday we noted the chilly relations between Tasmanian Senator Jacqui Lambie and Qantas. But we didn’t realise the deep freeze between the two entities had reached Oymyakon* proportions.

We wrote that the airline had suspended the Senator’s access to its prestigious invitation-only Chairman’s Club lounges after several incidents. But that was only half the story.

From her own opinion piece in the New Daily:

"People ask me what I think about the culture in Parliament, and I’ve got to be honest, I haven’t seen sexism up close and first hand.

I’ve experienced arrogance, entitlement and elitism more than sexism, but it’s easy to mistake them for each other."

Senator Lambie said the incident came after a bad day in Canberra.

“I’d backed into a car that morning, got a speeding ticket on the way to work, and my flight home was delayed,” she told the Nine newspapers.

She was also taking pain medication for an old back injury.

“It was a bad day for me. But it was worse for the poor Qantas staff who had to stand and take my rant. It was totally uncalled for and totally unacceptable behaviour on my part.
