I haven't flown international business class to Europe since the QF-EK tie up.
Can those of you who travel J a lot SYD (or MEL, BNE) - DXB - Europe (ZRH in my case) advise me on how strictly EK (in Sydney or Dubai) police the dimensions of cabin baggage?
I'm flying QF marketed EK metal in J. A380 then 777. If flying Qantas, they allow and I would use two 115cm bags (Crumpler Dry Red 7 and Spring Peeper Medium). But Emirates website says:
"Business Class customers are permitted two pieces of carry-on baggage: one briefcase plus either one handbag or one garment bag. The briefcase may not exceed 18 x 14 x 8 inches (45 x 35 x 20cm); the handbag may not exceed 22 x 15 x 8 inches (55 x 38 x 20cm)"
ie., one 115cm and one 100cm, but they don't appear to use linear size, more of a maximum box size.
(I know mass is also a consideration, but am asking about dimensions.)
Thanks.
