So, I am finalizing a 280K oneworld booking. Looking forward to actually flying.
However, so frustrated with the QF system (join the queue I guess). After an issue with the calculation of taxes, I sent through a complaint. The complaint was referred to a customer service agent (who I won't name) who spent a day working through things. So far so good. She contacted me this morning, saying she has calculated the taxes and re-issued the ticket. A refund was due to me. The ticket was re-issued shortly after and actually ticketed.
I then checked and it turned out I could book the last leg of this flight... Singapore to Sydney on QF. Tax should be a few hundred dollars. Just been charged over $600. No point arguing, so I booked it in and then thought, heck I'll HUCA and see if I can get put through to the lovely person who dealt with this issue (no I'm not expecting her to be there today, just thought it could be arranged for her to call me back sometime next week). Anyway, that doesn't seem possible. Surely it would make some sense that the issue go back to her, because I've already explained the issue to her and she has already investigated it.
Instead, I have to explain the issue again and spend time on hold. Grrrr. I have spent so much time on the phone to Qantas. Some of it my doing, but a lot of it fixing up issues out of my control (flights falling off etc)
Now I understand charges change etc, but surely they can't change that much on the same day! End rant. Sorry!
