Is using airport fast-track services fair?

Let's put it another way. I did a bit of flying in the US last week, and because of my QF status I was given priority "AAccess" by AA when it came to security lines. Now is it fair that I could by-pass some very long lines just because of who I am in the eye's of the airlines?
When did AA introduce priority access at security lines? Did I miss the announcement?

So do OW Ruby (using business counters) get AA-Express passes?

That would have been SO useful when I was going through the US in may... Systems (customs/security) were terrible...

I assume this is only for outgoing? ie you cant avoid the joke that is incoming customs/etc at LAX TBIT

They sure do...

The first time they forgot to print the AAccess words on my boarding pass, so I simply showed the guy at security my QFF card (silver \ OW Ruby), and he directed me down the express lane.

Unfortuantly there was nothing special for arriving, simply pick the shortest line and wait.
