Same route and Qantas website showing the basic starter fare includes status points and luggage?

Qantas are calling it Bag & Meal, so I would say its not the same starter fare.

What does it say if you bring up the full fare rules?

It say bag & meal fare is not eligible, but only some dates show the 40 status pts and some other dates dont. I am not sure if Qantas will honour these points....

Obviously Bag and Meal fares does not include seating. You need to bring your own seat, or you need to stand all the way to KIX.

Id say its a quirk of changing the add ons and their values over the last couple of years, dynamic supply and demand for pricing and how the bundle inclusions work out.

Iirc the Qantas one won't has as much stuff as the Jestar bundle but for just a bag and SC then yes you would be right.
