Hi,

I have got my visa through the official website from smart traveller https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/tra-cuu-thi-thuc

But my travel companion got visa from the following site. And you cannot undo it once it is approved. Just wanna check anyone has got a visa from the following site and it is legit when entering Veitnam.

Has anyone used this website to obtain a visa to Vietnam?

If so, is it legit website?

Before a recent trip to Vietnam, I applied for the USD 25.00 official visa.

It’s supposed to be issued within 3 business days, in most cases. I wanted to travel in a week’s time.

On the day of my flight, I still had not received the official visa. So I had to decide whether to try one of the many third party sites that promise a visa within hours or perhaps purchase a refundable onwards ticket which would at least allow me to fly to Vietnam with an up to 24 hours airside transit. The latter was to allow more time for the official visa to come through.

I ended up doing both.

The third party site wanted USD150.00 to issue a visa within 5 hours.

The onwards ticket allowed me to get a boarding pass for my flight to Vietnam.

While waiting to board my flight, the third party visa came through. And, with an extra USD 25.00 that needed to be paid on arrival in Vietnam (a “stamping” fee), it worked.

My official visa eventually came through two days after I arrived in Vietnam.

The two visas look nothing like each other.

The third party visa is more of an invitation letter that approves a visa on arrival for yourself and many others that are listed in the letter. So you can’t go directly to passport control. You have to first get the visa placed into your password at another counter and pay the extra fees.

The official USD25.00 visa:

Great info. Which third party site did you use?

I may have to resort to that; lodged my application through https://evisa.gov.vn/ last week and received my registration number, but the e-visa portal is still saying "No result found".

Just want to make sure I use a reliable/legit third party site....

Thanks!

This is the email recieved after applying for our July Vietnamtrip.Screenshot_20250926_132629_Gmail.jpg

Occasionally it has issues but you should have received an email saying pending. Also, check your method of payment to see if it has gone through/ pending
